Throughout their evolution, humans have relied on the environment for their survival. Ironically, over time they have lost sight of the rightful hierarchy on planet Earth, placing themselves above nature. It’s not surprising that the state of the environment has quickly declined. With no sustainable solutions yet, it is imperative timely gestures be made that tend to improve the situation.

ÉCO-FEST is a mobile recycling system that places design at the service of the environment. This project aims to increase awareness of recycling at outdoor events such as festivals. Through its aesthetic and functional approach, the goal of this project is to foster the act of recycling among users, and the collection of recyclable materials by the event organizers. Overall, this project seeks to show that design and the environment go hand in hand.
